“And off I go … at the end”, I murmur, launching my heavy loaded expedition kayak (250 kg all together) into the crystal clear icy water of the Baikal, watched by my ex-KGB friend, the Siberia TV and a German couple on holiday here.
At the end we arrived at the Baikal in one piece and with all the equipment. The word did have spread already. The Siberian AIST TV will turn up soon and make an interview.
My kayak expedition on the deepest lake (1 mile!!!) of the world, the Lake Baikal in East Siberia, Russia was a freezing ordeal at the limit for me, especially my hands and equipment.
